The Role
As a Trainee Sustainability and Quality Coordinator, you will work closely with the QHSE Manager to support and drive Parkside’s ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Agenda and quality initiatives across the organisation. This entry-level role provides a unique opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of sustainability, quality control, and compliance while gaining hands-on experience in the QHSE sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency.
- Support the QHSE Manager in maintaining and improving quality management systems.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality and sustainability standards.
- Collect, analyse, and report data related to sustainability goals, energy usage, waste reduction, and product quality.
- Help prepare and maintain documentation related to quality certifications, sustainability reports, and compliance records.
- Support training and awareness programs for employees on quality and sustainability practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote sustainability goals and support their integration into everyday practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, legislation, and best practices in sustainability and quality control.
- Support external accreditation ISO 14001
Ideal Candidate
- A passion for sustainability and environmental protection.
- Strong interest in quality management systems and continuous improvement.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
