Parkside Asia, a leading provider of flexible packaging solutions, is marking a ‘crystal-clear’ milestone in packaging excellence as the company celebrates its 15th anniversary.
Established in 2010 as part of Parkside Flexible’s strategic expansion into the Asian market, Parkside Asia has grown into a thriving, autonomous operation supporting customers across the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.
Paul Vaughan, General Manager of Parkside Asia, said: “For me, the fifteenth anniversary is a landmark moment in the company’s history. Most companies don’t get to double digits. But it is also a time where the company is experiencing great change in the products we design and manufacture.
“We are now driving the future of the company by moving from single use, non-recyclable packaging to more sustainable products that can be fully recycled in any region of the world or easily composted by households and families who care for the environment. It would be amazing if we could achieve the same growth in the next fifteen years as we did in the first fifteen.”
Serving the food, personal and household care and tobacco markets, Parkside Asia combines technical expertise with operational excellence to deliver next-generation flexible packaging solutions that meet the evolving needs of its clients.
The company has gone from strength to strength over the last 15 years, leveraging its expertise in developing more eco-conscious packaging solutions including monomaterial substrates, paper recyclable packaging, and compostable solutions to better serve its customers.
Today, Parkside Asia boasts a state-of-the-art manufacturing centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with 10-colour flexographic printing, high-tech slitting and lamination, on-site reprographics and colour management, local technical and customer service support, and end-to-end support from artwork to shelf.
The company attributes its success in part to the bravery and dedication of its team, which proved instrumental when the new factory was established, marking a first step for Parkside in the Asian region.
Reflecting on the company culture, Vaughan added: “I constantly get feedback from my team in Kuala Lumpur that the company is like ‘family’. I’m always impressed by the care and concern the team has for each other. I have a tremendous respect for my team, and they continue to impress me with their ‘can do’ attitude. We are definitely a tight knit unit, and I look forward to the next fifteen years with them.”
