In addition to traditional polymer lidding films, our portfolio of film innovations includes paper-based materials of various grades, polyethylene (PE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP), oriented polypropylene (OPP), and compostable materials.

All our materials are available as single-ply or multi-layer laminates and can be tailored to meet the functional barrier requirements of each specific packaging application. But our work isn’t done yet – we’ll never stop developing new innovations in recycle-ready monopolymer lidding films, lightweighted materials, compostable and paper-based solutions, and more.

Popflex®

Popflex is a game-changing fully recyclable lidding film that we developed with produce packers and growers in mind. It can be weld-sealed to a matching recyclable PET tray, and can also be developed further to offer many exciting possibilities for a range of flexible packaging applications. Both tray and film stay attached throughout the recycling process, meaning the PET material will not contaminate PP and PE recycling streams – and is suitable for recycling under current OPRL guidelines.

Designed for simple consumer recycling

Popflex film is laser-scored using patented ParkScribe™ technology, creating an integral opening. To open the film, end users simply press down, pop open, and peel back, creating a satisfyingly simple opening experience that is inclusive of mobility requirements.

The film is made using a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled content, helping customers meet the demands of consumers, retailers, and regulators around the world who increasingly demand more recycled content in packaging.

If required, macro perforations can be added to ensure breathability for certain fresh produce applications.
