Parkside celebrates latest safety milestone after 500 days without lost time incident at Malaysia site

Flexible packaging expert Parkside is celebrating its latest safety milestone after its Asian site recorded its 500th day without a lost time incident.

The achievement highlights Parkside’s global commitment to health and safety. In 2023, its UK site passed 1000 days without a lost time incident, earning the company a reputation as a worldwide leader in compliance and quality standards.

Paul Vaughan, General Manager Asia at Parkside, was delighted with the news, saying, “Making sure every member of the Parkside team is safe at work is one of our core values, and I’m overjoyed to have achieved that for 500 days in a row.

“This achievement is testament to the professionalism of our talented team – every employee has played their part by following procedures, wearing the correct PPE, and taking the same meticulous approach to every job. Health and safety is the foundation of our business, giving our team the platform to deliver consistently excellent results for our customers. I’m very proud of the way our staff look out for one another and work proactively to make our site safer.”

Parkside has recently invested heavily in expanding its Asian operations with new capabilities and personnel and has also seconded its experienced Special Projects Manager Jonathan Steele to the business to further support its growth in the region.

“We’re determined to keep up our hard work and commitment to safety for the next 500 days,” added Paul. “We have the processes in place and the right culture within the business, ensuring every member of the Parkside team has the right to feel safe at work.”
