Flexible packaging leader Parkside Flexibles (‘Parkside’) has been delighted to welcome Chloe Little to our team for the last few weeks as part of a work experience placement.
Chloe joined Parkside from Leeds City College, where she is studying childcare, after expressing an interest in art and creative design and wanting to see what we do as she thinks about her future career path.
During her time at Parkside, Chloe has worked closely with the New Product Development team, where she has learned to prototype packaging samples – and got stuck in with making some herself!
This experience has helped her learn about the different packaging formats that Parkside produces, from easy-open to sustainable solutions, and how they can be used for a variety of products and applications.
Her work placement covered areas from graphic design to marketing, including how we deal with customer artwork and produce our own, to creating promotional material. Chloe also took part in a factory tour, where she saw first-hand the manufacturing processes we use to create our flexible packaging – and learned about making artwork for production and how artwork is processed ready for print”.
Chloe told us: “I wish I could be part of this team for longer” – and we wish she could too!
