Leading flexible packaging specialist Parkside Flexibles has announced it is boosting its Asian operations for 2023 and beyond with the appointment of a new Business Unit Manager for its Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia operation.
The company revealed it has appointed Ian Dewar, an expert figure in the global plastics industry with over a decade of technical and sales experience, to further enhance the performance of its impressive Asian business. The news comes as sustainable packaging solutions continue to experience strong growth in the APAC area, with high demand coming from the food and tobacco sectors.
Welcoming the announcement, Paula Birch, Managing Director Parkside Asia said, “We are delighted to welcome Ian to our growing team in the region. Dewar’s career has seen him work throughout the APAC region, developing a specialism in additives and coating formulations for the flexible packaging and plastics industries. His in-depth technical knowledge of materials provides Parkside’s customers with the expertise they need to develop packaging that balances plastic reduction with barrier performance, all while complying with relevant legislation.
